| The United States Power Squadron, founded in 1914, is America’s largest non-profit boating organization with 38 districts and approximately 450 squadrons. The NNS&PS was granted a charter on September 2003 with 38 members. We belong to District 5, the Mid-Atlantic district, one of the largest districts in the USPS. Our Squadron serves the Virginia counties of Northumberland, Lancaster, Richmond, and Westmoreland. The NNS&PS offers the USPS basic boating courses and educational seminars to the publicas well as the Commonwealth’s Boat Virginia course. Our squadron’s primary focus is public education and youth safetyprograms. Since its founding, NNS&PS has almost doubled our membership. |
